Yes, that's right. Later this year, I'm planning a tour of the north-east of Scotland, stopping off in local book shops and libraries for reading from my forthcoming short story collection.
This is only just in the beginning stage so no dates as yet, but I know I shall be in Macduff Library around the end March, early April. I'll update as and when.

Having re-read a not so short short story last week, I had to laugh for I had omitted to divulge who the Lewellians are. Of course I know who they are but my poor readers would be left wondering.
Therefore I set to and re-wrote a merman's scene only to be surprised to learn, they aren't who I thought they were either. No matter how I tried, they just weren't plausible enough to be who I intended them to be. So I let, the character tell, the White Queen, in his own words who he is and what he and his Lewellian mermen are all about. Turns out they are another order entirely and he even managed to secure their survival in the later novels. What a merman. ![]() Here's me hard at it first thing this morning. I was thinking of a new character for my novel, and whilst heavily sedated in his character I couldn't help such poses as this. The rest of this afternoon was spent editing my, Beyond Endless Tides, short story. I'm very excited about this one and can't wait to share it with you. It's a story I'm always keen to get back to and knowing the ending, of which I wrote last month, I'm even more excited than I was already. There are no excerpts for this. It is one I'm keeping a tight grip on till its release. Check out my other excerpts on my what I'm writing now page. |
